Anton Heyboer - abstract |
Anton was a master of "touching". If he touched a paper or cloth, it always became more beautiful. Especially when his hands were black from the ink, or red from the paint. Each spot he made looked as if it was sitting there since eternity, and could not be missed. Therefore, his work often looked like an ancient cave drawing, such as in the caves of Lascaux. He didn't only touch paper or cloth in that way but also people. He made an indelible impression on everyone who had ever met him. Who stayed longer in his presence, was changed forever. Everything that is not really part of you disappeared, and what you really were, became more beautiful and real. You went back to innocence, as he called it. As indicated in the drawing of the figure in circle.
